Happy 50th Birthday Berkeley Alumni Chapter!
This is a special year for Berkeley Alumni, as we have turned 50 years young! We celebrated with members, patrons, and friends in San Rafael on Saturday, November 21. San Francisco Alumni Chapter graciously hosted the event, which is also our annual Founder's Day celebration. We wish the San Francisco Alumni Chapter a happy 80th anniversary, and hope for 80 more wonderful years of music, friendship, and harmony!
April Recital at Rossmoor
Each April we hold a special event for our friends in the Rossmoor community...
...2008 was a year for the International Competition. The winner, cellist Ruslan Biryukov, performed with pianist Mary Au.
...In 2009, select members and friends performed for a very receptive crowd.
...Our 2010 recital will feature the winners of our recent Young Artist Award Competition.
About the Young Artist Award Competition--
We hold this local competition trienially, awarding three $1,000 awards to deserving high school graduates aged 28 or younger. The candidates must be residents or study music in Contra Costa or Alameda County. See the links on the left for more information.
